Roads, Highways & Interchanges
Over the years, we have built up a very experienced and competent team designing urban interchanges like the Sungai Besi interchange in Kuala Lumpur to roads in mountainous terrain like the Bakun and Murum Dams access roads. We have also successfully designed and supervised roads over soft ground conditions, including over deep peat of over 10m thickness.
Our highway and traffic engineers are complemented by the various professionals and support groups within the firm, namely the geotechnical engineers, draginage/hydraulic engineers, bridge engineers, electrical engineers, engineering geologists, quantity surveyors, surveyors, MX Road and CAD operators, among others.
The total length of roads and highways we have designed exceeds 1000km. With this experience, we are confident to provide the best services for any road projects.
KTA is part of the joint-venture KMKJV for the detailed design for Kuching Urban Transport System (KUTS) Phase 1. The scope includes the proposed Blue Line of approximately 27km, stretching from Rembus to Hikmah Exchange, consisting of 13 stations, 1 main station at Hikmah Exchange and 1 Heavy Maintenance Depot at Rembus.
When completed, the Autonomous Rapid Transit (ART) System will be the backbone of the public transport system transformation in the KUTS Project. The ART trains will be powered by hydrogen fuel cells and run on virtual tracks. Hydrogen fuel cell feeder buses will provide the First and Last Mile Connectivity to stations.
