Drainage, Sewerage, Dams & Infrastructure

The Drainage Division of KTA has undertaken and successfully completed feasibility studies, designs and construction supervision in the field of drainage projects, which range from minor waterways and drain designs to project management of trunk and secondary drainage systems from major urban areas such as Labuan, Miri and Kuching. Equipped with the latest computer hardware and state-of-the-art software such as the MIKE II unsteady state flow programme, the division has carried out complex simulation of rivers and drainage systems subjected to tidal influences. We have undertaken major flood mitigation studies and design for the whole Labuan Island and Kuching City, and the subsequent design and supervision of the trunk and secondary drainage systems, complete with tidal gate structures. KTA has completed sewerage works ranging from treatment plants for domestic housing to treatment plants for commercial buildings. We have recently completed a major study on a Waste Water Management System for Kuching City. KTA has recently understaken the design and construction of Bengoh Dam in Kuching Division. The construction of the Bengoh Dam is to secure Kuching's water supply for the foreseeable future. The Infrastructure Division of KTA has undertaken and successfully completed feasibility studies, designs and construction supervision in the field of infrastructure works. We are the Civil and Structural Consultant for the Samariang New Township Development Project, which will turn 5,000 acres of land requiring soil-improvement into a new township.
